The Thing About Language

by: Joan Abigail N. Pelpinosas

Our world is changing day by day. For us people, it’s amazing how we create new ideas or build big dreams into reality just to improve our quality of living. Well, things are pretty dynamic these days. Even one’s culture is changing… and even the language we use today is also “changing”.

We tend to do things on our own and proudly stand up persuading ourselves that we are good enough and that we are satisfied with our own strength. Yes, we probably can say that, but the truth is, apart from God we are nothing and that we cannot do things on our own. Without God in the picture, everything is meaningless as though chasing after the wind. Life is a matter of being dependent, not with our own strength but of God’s.
