The Remedy

-Karen Claire Dimacutac

My past left me with a broken heart,
He torn my heart apart
And I don’t know where to start,
Then you came and wake my heart.

Wherever You Will Go

Markeen88

I do believe that God above;
Created you for me to Love.
He picked you out from all the rest,
Because I know, I love you best.

A LOVE LIKE NO OTHER

By: Sheila Letrada

Some time in life, we experience to love and be loved by somebody. Those feelings gave us butterflies in the stomach, ‘causing our heart  skip a beat, and even grounds us to smile whenever his or her name pops into our mind. But when those so-called blissful feelings are gone, we oftentimes loosing ourselves and insecurities slowly sneak into our system. It seems like the love we had had vanished and that we will never be complete again. Certain circumstances could cause our fragile heart to be so broken.

Stuffs Way Cooler Than Crying

By: Jomzie Daluz

As those grief-stricken people say, there is no such thing as happy ending. Well if it exists, it is not that easy to achieve. Anyway, we are given a chance to move on so why not use that chance?

Love at first sight

 by: Berlyn B. Bucol

Everytime you’ll see a beautiful Rafflesia flower in the middle of the forest, surely you will be awed by its gigantic wonder, as they say “with one look, you’ll get hooked!” But once you’ll get closer in it, you’ll eventually know how stinky it is. A scenario which best describes the concept of love at first sight.

Bestfriends

By: Precious de la Torre

I don’t know what life can offer me
But I’m heeding of what it would be
I just can’t imagine myself to be alone
Nor my Best Friend would leave me in doom.

Second Time Around

by: Crisher O. Saldariega

Months had passed,
All I hear were soundless waves of grass
You get busy and I was too,
Wondering if you still love me too

Time of My Life

-Constance Quence

Once upon a time, when the land meets the sea,
It’s just like you meeting me.
Before my life was in darkness.
Then you came and kissed everything with brightness.

FRIEND

by: Karen Claire R. Dimacutac

Thanks you came into my life,
You gave me light that shines so bright.
You ease those boredoms in me,
And leaves me with happiness and good memories.

I thank God for giving me a friend like you,
Someone who understands me as you do.
You’re such a nice friend,
Always ready to lend a hand.

You’re such a wonderful friend,
You’re worthy of everyone’s appreciation.
Not worthy to be despised, nor criticized,
Rather worthy of having the biggest prize.

I hope that the friendship we have now will last,
And time won’t run that fast.
So I’ll have time to know you much better,
And for you and me to get closer to each other.

Being a friend of yours is a pleasure,
You’re like a diamond that everyone would surely treasure.
I always render my salute to you,
Just stay as my good friend as what I knew.

The Thing About Language

by: Joan Abigail N. Pelpinosas

Our world is changing day by day. For us people, it’s amazing how we create new ideas or build big dreams into reality just to improve our quality of living. Well, things are pretty dynamic these days. Even one’s culture is changing… and even the language we use today is also “changing”.
And speaking of language, we Filipinos are very “flexible” when it comes to that topic. We are known as natural linguists. And we have that certain skill in which we invent words that seems to be strange yet amusing to hear at the same time.

Extracurricular: Ingredient for Better Adjusted and Motivated Individual

by: Joel Rey S. Carcasona

Sports, music, dramatics, journalism and leadership affiliations – these are myriad activities that most college students get involved to. As they say, college is definitely the right place to hone skills and discover latent talent. To produce the most positive classroom environment possible, students must consider not onlywhat happens inside the class, but also everything that affects students throughout the campus. Involvement in extracurricular activities is a significant ingredient in this recipe. And it proved me right!

Using Freedom and Rights Wisely

by: Joan Abigail Pelpinosas

When we talk about freedom and rights, what is the first thing that comes to our mind? Probably some would tell that it is a great gift given from God.

Live, Love and Learn

Living is lifetime learning. There is no limit of the knowledge we ought to learn. As long as one is still breathing, he/she is still under life’s lessons.

Andres Bonifacio: “The Next National Hero?” (EDITORIAL)

WHEN GOD EXIST IN THE PICTURE

Have we ever experience asking ourselves why we are here and what’s life is all about? At times, we tend to overlook those practical things that comprise our existence in this world. We tend to do things on our own and proudly stand up persuading ourselves that we are good enough and that we are satisfied with our own strength. Yes, we probably can say that, but the truth is, apart from God we are nothing and that we cannot do things on our own. Without God in the picture, everything is meaningless as though chasing after the wind. Life is a matter of being dependent, not with our own strength but of God’s.

The 2012 Business Week Experience

Stained in hot pink and cruised the streets of the Orchid City, the freshmen SBME students of ABC lead the convoy of the schools’ 2012 Business Week. After which a short but esteemed opening program was held. One phrase that I remembered from the department’s Entrepreneurial Skills teacher, Mrs. Barbaso, was that “In business there are risks that are to be taken, and these should be calculatedrisks.” To a student who never had experience in an actual business, the phrase had menial meaning, but little that I know that it was worth to be pondered on.
